The IETcc-CSIC gives the course “Design and construction of sustainable buildings” to staff of Madrid City Council

The Madrid City Council’s Department of Government, Works and Equipment is organising the course “Design and Construction of Sustainable Buildings” on November 18, 2022, given by staff from the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences (IETcc-CSIC), which participates in the LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN project.

The staff teaching this course belong to the Construction Systems and Habitability in Buildings research group. Among the topics covered in the course were the introduction to sustainability in building and energy rehabilitation of buildings (REFAVIV/REVEN/HABITA-RES projects), how to perform spatial data modelling for energy efficiency analysis at urban scale, the green roofs and façades of the LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN project, radon gas pollution (Radoncero-Radonflow-Perfora projects), and the analysis of the life cycle in construction, with emphasis on types of sustainable materials and the Environmental Product Declaration (DAP).
