The LIFE UrbanProof project team organized on 19-20 of April 2021 an International virtual conference focusing on climate change impacts and adaptation at the urban environment. The Conference is the 3rd ADAPTtoCLIMATE Conference organized in the framework of a series of LIFE projects on adaptation.
Fifty speakers from Greece, Italy, Spain and Cyprus but also from many other EU countries participated in the Conference, while the attendants were more than 400. The presence of other LIFE projects on Climate Action was significant, as 26 projects presented their actions and their results so far, thus enabling the creation of numerous synergies between the projects. Among them, the LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN project was presented, making it a great opportunity to present the project’s progress to a wide audience working on climate change adaptation.

Particular emphasis was also paid on the demonstration of the dynamic UrbanProof toolkit for supporting municipalities in adaptation, the presentation of the green and soft infrastructure implemented by the four project municipalities (i.e. the municipalities of Strovolos, Lakatamia, Peristerio and Reggio Emilia), as well as of the local adaptation strategies developed by the partner municipalities in the framework of the project.
