With the aim of increasing the exchange of knowledge and experience between projects, policy makers, industry and other stakeholders in the building sector, and with a view to disseminating good practices, promoting synergies and informing the political decision-making process from the results of efforts on the ground, the LIFE Programme organised a meeting on 17-18 June 2019 in Brussels on climate action and the building sector.
The LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN project was one of the LIFE projects invited to participate. Jose Fermoso (CARTIF) introduced some problems affecting urban environments, such as heat waves and extreme cold episodes. Therefore, adaptation measures are necessary and should be taken especially in buildings used by vulnerable groups such as children and elderly people. In the course of his intervention, Jose Fermoso argued how the LIFE-mBiG project aims to address these problems, developing the methodology to be applied.
