CARTIF participates in the round table on the “Impact on the territory of renaturalisation projects”

From May 9 to 12, the Rural Climate 2023 Forum, organised by SBNCLIMA, took place in the Ribering space in Aranda de Duero (Burgos, Spain), where Raquel Marijuan (CARTIF), partner of the LIFE-myBUILDINGisGREEN project, participated as a speaker.

The aim of this event was to foster transformative local action that builds climate resilience, improves biodiversity, as well as the health and well-being of the riverside population. The meeting focused on renaturalisation and relocation through citizen leadership and social entrepreneurship.

CARTIF participated in the “Impact on the territory of renaturation projects” round table, which took place on Friday May 12, to present the projects in which it participates on renaturation and Nature-based Solutions (NBS) such as the URBAN GreenUP, myBUILDINGisGREEN and NATMed European projects. In the course of this round table, the main impacts of these projects were presented, as well as the good practices and lessons learned from their work. Among other examples, the impact of the green façade and green roof prototypes in reducing indoor temperatures in the Gabriela Mistral school in Solana de los Barros (Badajoz, Spain) was highlighted, improving the comfort of students and teachers in hot periods.
